Prenatal Yoga

This class will help you become more aware of everything going on with your body so you can build confidence as labor approaches.  This gentle, yet, challenging class will help women feel more comfortable during pregnancy by teaching them how to get their minds, bodies, and, hearts strong and how to be calm during labor, delivery, and, parenting.  Every class will include “Circle Time”, strength-building, stretching, and, meditation.  Beginners will feel comfortable in this class while experienced yogis will enjoy the practical application of traditional yoga to the pre-natal experience.

Pre-natal yoga, the deliberate weaving together of yoga and childbirth preparation, opens the door for women to reclaim their physical, mental, and, emotional powers and receptivity during the birth process. Find ways to battle everything from morning sickness to tight hips while bonding with other women who are on the same journey as you.  Water, mats, and, props are always provided free of charge.   No experience is necessary.

Postnatal Yoga

After the birth of your baby, you might be eager to resume your yoga practice.  This is a great way to assist in pulling everything back together after pregnancy and helps with posture and toning.  This will also help flatten the tummy, reduce weight, and, tone the body.  We will focus on core work (yeah, I know), shoulders (tight from rocking your new little one), and, hips (bye-bye sciatica).  Promoting good posture will aid in breastfeeding.  This service is recommended as early as 3-5 days post-vaginal delivery and 6 weeks post-Cesarean.  This is beneficial up to 3 – 4 months postpartum.

Baby and Me Yoga

Baby and Me Yoga is a fun class for new mothers and babies from 6 weeks to pre-walkers.  This class provides moms the opportunity to regain strength and tone muscles while bonding, singing, and, playing with their babies.   Women will have the opportunity to connect with the community of women experiencing this beautiful, yet, often hectic time in motherhood.  This is an open space where your baby is welcome to nurse, nap, eat, or cry.

You and your baby will play and practice yoga while you sing songs, explore movement, practice infant massage, and, connect with other moms and babies.

Moms can slowly regain strength while cultivating confidence and can alleviate neck, shoulder, and, back pain through yoga postures. We will also dance, sing, and, enjoy this most precious time between mother and child.  Know that it is natural for your baby to cry, so, change a diaper or feed your baby any time during class to make him/her comfortable.  Come to class with an open heart, a blanket, some toys for your wee-one, and, your yoga mat (or, we will supply you with water, mats, and, props – free of charge).    No experience necessary.

Family Yoga

Pregnancy is about connection…the connection between you and your baby, you and your body, and, the connection between all the members of your family.  Practicing yoga all together is a fun, alternative way to bond as a family. All together, we can sing, dance, laugh, stretch, and, create memories!  From big to little, let’s get on the mat and reconnect.  Come to class as a family, bring a blanket for your little one, and, we will supply you with water, mats, and, props free of charge.    No experience necessary.
